Another week, another Brendan Rodgers exit report from our friends in the media.
We get that the international break is hardly a blockbuster occasion for club news involving Celtic, but just days after papers got it all wrong about Rodgers and Aston Villa, they’re at it again and this time it’s with Newcastle United.
The Daily Mirror reported over the weekend that the Magpies were lining up Rodgers in the event results don’t improve under Rafa Benitez.
They have just two points from their opening eight games and sit second-bottom of the English Premier League table.
Celtic fans of course are not impressed with the latest attempts to march our manager down south, taking particular issue with The Daily Record’s reporting of the speculation.
I, for one, hope that Newcastle’s form improves dramatically, just so we don’t have to endure a non-existent saga in the newspapers.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
This is an absolute disgrace. 3 days have passed since the record ended up with pish all over it's trousers when Villa appointed a new manager now they're linking Rodgers to non existent jobs
What would await Brendan if he left Celtic for Newcastle https://t.co/lB7bc99UaC

I’m all for a free Press but these shit stirrers should not be allowed access to Celtic facilities and staff. Celtic should also ask fans to consider if buying these rags is money well spent. On top of the “Villa end interest in Rodgers” nonsense headline action is required.

When they have nothing to write about they always return to either non or negative stories about Celtic the only one positive in this is we must be doing something right for them to talk about us in the first place or even at all.

It is a disgrace. The Record shit sheet should be banned from the stadium and Lennoxton once and for all.
