Lisbon Lion Willie Wallace launched a rather bizarre attack on Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers this week, claiming that he’d have kicked the Hoops boss out of the door if he was on the club board and criticising his use of players like Daniel Arzani.

The former Celtic forward, who scored two goals in the semi-final of the European Cup to help the club make it to Lisbon, is now based in Australia and believes the manager is misusing talents from the country.

As quoted by The Daily Record, he said:

Arzani is a good little player and the manager disappointed me on that one. If I was on the board at Celtic Park, I’d have kicked the manager’s a**e out the door.

He’s telling me that it’s going to be a while before he plays? Well, why are Celtic paying the wages and not Man City?

Why would you take him for two years if he isn’t going to play in your team? You’d spend your money in a better way.

It’s hardly the best way for a club legend to be speaking about the club and staff members, but Wallace is clearly unhappy with the current situation at the club.

His comments are certainly a far cry from what you’d expect to hear from the likes of Bertie Auld!

Some Celtic fans weren’t best pleased to read any of it and took to Twitter to share their thoughts…
