Celtic have taken a huge step towards the title.

Hitting the top of the table at this stage of the season is crucial if Ange Postecoglou has any ambitions of becoming the king of Scottish football and he has done.

And in style.

With the team now in pole position, the huge psychological lift it gives the club, coupled with the psychological blow to all our rivals is massive. And it has not gone unrecognised by former Celtic winger Davie Provan.

When asked by Paul Cooney on The Go Radio Football Show if he thought that Celtic were now the favourites for the title, Provan said, “I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. I think Celtic have the momentum.”

And it is hard to argue with that.

With more and more players returning from injury coupled with the best defensive record in the league and the most potent attacking force in Scotland, with only thirteen days to go, the Hoops do seem to have the edge as the title run in edges ever closer to it’s climax.

With the Hoops still to face Aberdeen at Pittodrie, Dundee at Celtic Park and Hibernian at Easter Road, February will be the month, I think, that will have the biggest say in the league titles destination this season.
