You have to wonder about the state Celtic are in at the moment and what their priorities are.

After thirteen weeks of managerial embarrassment, the Celtic board finally got their act together and after suffering the ignominy of being knocked back by Eddie Howe after he flirted with US, they appointed Ange Postecoglou. And before anyone jumps in, this is NOT an article having a pop at Ange.

He has the full backing of Vital Celtic now that he has been appointed.

This is a pop at the club, their organisation AND how they communicate with the fans.

Are the board doing a good job?

YES

YES

NO

NO

For months Celtic were rudderless. No manager, no Head of Recruitment, no Director of Football and a raft of first team players expected to leave the club this summer.

Oh and a raft of loanees now returning to their parent club.

Celtic took it upon themselves to organise a pre season fixture list when they hadn’t organised who would be managing the team.

They then asked fans to fork out for season tickets, all the while (I suspect) knowing that the long touted Eddie Howe was not going to be the manager.

And during all this? No communication from anyone at Celtic. Unless it was someone’s birthday. Which is what we all signed up for when we started to follow Celtic on twitter. Right?

The latest Celtic tweet has suffered the ire of the supporters, and whilst I am sympathetic to the poor guy or girl that runs the account on behalf of the club, you just wonder what is going on at the club?

A fairly innocuous tweet, I agree, but I can also understand the fans frustrations when Celtic are advertising the fixtures at a time when we hardly have a recognised first team and have only one new face added to the squad.

These Celtic fans were not amused and to be honest, I can’t blame them:

And I’ll leave that last word for Kieran Tierney:
