As the season gets underway, Celtic seem to be continuing to trim the fat off the squad and cut the wage budget by moving on players who are not set to feature in the first-team squad.

Mikey Johnston, Albian Ajeti, Christopher Jullien and James McCarty all look like they will exit the club either on loan or on permanent deals.

The question I pose is this. Is this just part of the long-term overhaul of Ange’s squad?

And by getting rid of players who do not suit the gaffer’s style of play,  do we need to urgently decrease the wage bill to afford any further potential transfer targets?

Yesterday I wrote that the current financial position we are in is glowing.

But as a financially sound club, we act in a responsible way in which we do not take risks with our long-term financial stability.

So, if Ange does have targets in mind, perhaps in strengthening the depth in defence or bringing in a defensive midfielder, then it might be imperative for the club to remove these players.

Some of whom are on have high wages which would help to bring in more suitable players for the Ange Revolution.
