CELTIC’S new C.E.O. has been as reclusive as majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond, since stepping into Celtic Park back in April.

With the Celtic fans highlighting the serious lack of communication from the club, the disconnect many of them feel from the top tier of the Parkhead echelons is now making them question whether or not to renew season tickets next season.

McKay was officially due to take over the reigns from Peter Lawwell on 1st July but with so much work required at Celtic Park he joined Celtic on 19th April and to be honest, nothing much else has changed. Until now.

McKay replied to an official Celtic tweet today congratulating, quite rightly, the women’s team on the qualification for the Champions League:

But with Celtic STILL without a manager in over 102 days, when will McKay at least give the fans some news about where the club is heading?

Any news will do. Why did the Howe deal fall thru after three months of courtship? When is the manager being appointed? What budget will he have? Who is the Director of Football? Where is the Head of Recruitment? Who’s identifying players to sign? ANYTHING?

But as yet nothing. Not a bean. Until tonight. Now please do not misunderstand me. He was 100% correct to congratulate the ladies team. No doubt about it.

What they achieved today is magnificent and I wrote an article today about that very fact but to still have nothing from him when the whole club is in disarray is nothing short of a disgrace.

The 1st July is his official start date. Let’s hope he pulls a rabbit out the hat to help convince the Celtic fans that we do actually have a plan and the club is moving in the right direction.
