Celtic are on a good run of form at the moment, and that, naturally, has made many of us very happy indeed. There’s nothing we like more than seeing the boys in green playing well and winning games.
However, it’s fair to say that even our good form hasn’t stopped a few Hoops fans on Twitter getting rather frustrated at a recent announcement regarding a future game.
Celtic recently confirmed on Twitter that our fourth round Scottish Cup tie against Airdrieonians will take place on Saturday January 19th, 2019. Significantly, though, it’s set to be held at 17:15 – presumably to accommodate television viewers. Naturally, given the size of our club, fans are always going to want to see us on television, but unsurprisingly, the match going supporters aren’t too pleased.

Indeed, in response to the news, lots of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to slam the news, with many using it as an opportunity to voice their frustration at the lack of attention paid to those who visit the stadiums in person. Seemingly, they would have been far happier with an early kick-off time.

The reassignment of match kick off times and mid week fixtures in general are a major threat to attendance figures and income for us and smaller clubs.Clowns run our game.
