Neil Lennon is currently enjoying the sunshine life in Cyprus.

After his stormy final year at Celtic where he was responsible for the failed attempt at winning the clubs tenth title in a row, the Northern Irishman spent a full year out the game before landing a role at Omonia Nicosia.

Lennon is on the cusp of winning silverware at his new club as he guided them to the Cypriot cup final but according to a report by Bolton News, he could be about to find himself back involved in English football with Bolton Wanderers.

Of course, as we all know, Lennon took charge of Bolton back in 2014 and after a tumultuous time, left the club by mutual consent.

But as the story originated from Alan Nixon, is there any legs in it all?

Lennon recently opened up on his final season at Celtic where he still remains quite bitter at how it all ended, “The way it ended at Celtic was very disappointing. But I think overall we had a hell of a lot of success.

“Do I want to prove something? Not to anybody in Scotland.

“I just want to prove to myself we can still build a good team and play fast, productive football and win trophies.

“I don’t feel that I’ve been written off as a manager. I’m only 50 and I’ve had over ten years at it.

“The final season at Celtic might have overshadowed everything else I’d done at the club because it was so recent.

“But hopefully, further down the line, there will be a recognition, it shouldn’t overshadow what was achieved before. Both as a player and as a manager.”

He does seem to have found peace in Cyprus but could that all be about to change anytime soon?

The bitterness shown towards Neil Lennon is quite frankly, disgraceful!
Neil was, is and always will be a Celtic legend who had to function under worse conditions than any manager of any club in the history of the game worldwide, and still he brought us incredible success!
Neil is not to blame for us not winning the ten!
There were far more culpable people than Neil Lennon!
No-one has ever braved the continued death threats he endured, yet still won our club trebles!
There isn’t a manager ANYWHERE who could have picked our team up from the gutter that scumbag brendan rodgers dropped us into, and won the two remaining trophies in the three remaining months of a season! Not one manager!
Lennon was on a hiding to nothing looking for the ten!
We failed as a club to prepare for the things the bigotted SFA put in our way, the bitch in the government who even became involved, and were both delighted to have Covid-19 to use as a helper!
Players clearly didn’t want to perform, possibly out of greed, the same greed that lost us a second European Cup.
If you think Lennon was wrong when he said all of this, ask yourself this; where’s Ajer, Eddy, El Hamed, Frimpong, Griffiths, Laxalt, Boli, Christie, Elyounoussi, a mere NINE players called out by Lennon!
Did any of this lot stick around? NO! As Lennon said, THEY DID NOT WANT TO BE THERE!
Hail Hail Neil Lennon a true Celtic legend!
