Ok, before you all start, this is NOT just an Eddie Howe article. No, it isn’t……….Well ok! It kind of is except this is about a French media outlet offering a claim that Celtic are looking at former Borussia Dortmund manager, Lucien Favre, being approached for the vacant Paradise job. But that is not the interesting part!
FR24 News have made an interesting claim that sources close to Celtic have said, “The Scottish champions are not convinced Howe is ready to face the pressure and scrutiny of running a club where every game is expected to be won.”
On top of that assertion, FR24 also claim that representatives of Celtic have also made contact with the Swiss manager about him taking up the Parkhead hotseat.

This is truly an astounding narrative from a foreign news source and completely contradicts the Scottish media claims that Howe has reservations about taking up the high profile job as he apparently wants to weight up his options.
What is really interesting here (and also is starting to make sense about the last week) is that Celtic have not yet made any official announcement since apparent talks with Howe had taken place almost two weeks ago and all the noise so far has been from the Howe camp.
So does this mean that Howe representatives are trying to save face whilst claiming he is waiting till the summer to make a decision? It certainly lends weight to other claims that Howe is using Celtic to hold off for a job in the English Premier League and if that is the case, Celtic should chase Howe and the rest of his entourage.
