More transfer stories than Jackanory has fairy tales, the Celtic summer circus continues.

I suppose with the Champions League money it comes with the territory but the amount of players the club are being linked to ridiculous.

It’s probably the busiest I have seen it in a long time.

The latest player to be linked to a move to Celtic is Senegalese midfielder Amadou Mbenge.

Mbenge currently plays for French side FC Metz who were recently relegated from the top tier.

Faced with playing his football in the second tier, Mbengue has decided not to renew his contract when it expires this month and this had led to speculation that Celtic could be in the mix to sign the 20 year old.

We do seem to have stiff competition from Udinese in the Serie A, according to Foot Mercato, to land the player and it could be a tempting offer for him to take up the Italians should they make their move.

Is Fabrizio Romano right? Will Celtic lose Juranovic this summer?

YES

YES

NO

NO

Having just secured their Serie A status at the end of the season, Udinese can offer Mbenge a more attractive league to showcase his skills but Celtic do have the advantage of Champions League football to offer him.

It remains to be seen if the club do step up their interest or whether this is just more ‘paper talk’.
