Might as well go with another article here on another ex players opinion on whether or not Eddie Howe will take the Celtic job.

It feels as if we are stuck in a time warp with the constant ‘will he, won’t we’ stories going around but it does seem that there are more and more differing viewpoints on the subject and until the Celtic board get their finger out and appoint the new man, the speculation will continue forever more.

Do you think Eddie Howe will become the Celtic manager?

YES

NO

Next up, it’s ex Celtic striker, Frank McAvennie, giving his input to the debate and he reckons his sources have it right that the reason that Eddie Howe still hasn’t signed on the dotted line is because of the man he wants as the Director of Football’s reluctance to move his family up to Scotland.

Speaking to The Football Insider, McAvennie said, “I don’t think he’ll [Howe] come now, I thought he would’ve got it by now,”

“From what I’m told he’s wanting a director of football and I don’t think Hughes wants to come back up here from Bournemouth.

“I know he’s from here, he’s a Celtic supporter but I don’t think he wants to bring his kids up here.

“That’s the problem but at the moment it doesn’t look to me like it’s going to happen.”

With many differing opinions and “sources” having their say on this, it really is very difficult to try and nail down the absolute truth about the Howe appointment but until the board come out and name their man, speculation will continue to be rife on who will become the new Celtic manager.
