As Celtic prepare for life under a new manager (eventually) and also prepare for a new season minus a raft of their top players, a journalit has admitted that one of Celtic’s players will fetch northwards of £20m in the summer.
Speaking on Celtic Huddle podcast, reporter John McGarry of The Daily Mail revealed that even although his form has not been great this season, there are a number of teams from England and Europe interested in the talismanic striker, “There’s no doubt the guy’s class and ability. There are enough clubs interested in him that would mean Celtic will still get a reasonable fee for him, probably something north of 20 million pounds.

“From what I’m told I think Leicester are the keenest of all the clubs, Roma are well in the mix as well.
“There are number of German and English teams who are interested in him, but the obvious connection to Rodgers would be the kind of favoured destination at the moment.”
With Celtic possibly looking to lose Leigh Griffiths and with Klimala already left for the MLS, losing Edouard will mean that Celtic will go into the pre season with only one recognised striker in Albian Ajeti.
With question marks over Ajeti’s commitment at Celtic, if the money recouped from the sale of the French u21 star isn’t invested straight back into the team, we could be looking at a repeat of this disastrous season next season.
