Celtic strolled to victory in Paradise last night as they swatted aside Patrick Thistle 5-0 in the Betfred League Cup quarter-final.
With Neil Lennon able to give first team regulars a much need rest – except for Callum McGregor, maybe he wants to beat his 69 games from last year – it was a chance for some of the fringe players to impress.
Vakoun Issouf Bayo headed in his first Celtic goal and showed that the Bhoys have plenty depth in the forwards yet again. It was also a welcome, and scoring return, for both Tom Rogic and Scott Sinclair. The latter scoring his second goal of the season in 5 appearances but just 80 minutes of football.
Celtic fans were rightfully impressed with the result and the performance, avoiding the extra-time suffered in the last round against Dunfermline – the last thing that is needed in a congested fixture list.
They took to twitter to celebrate the victory and the potential and unprecedented tenth successive trophy.
Great to see Rogic and Sinclair on the score sheet. Well done Bhoys ????????????????????????

Good win. Glad to see Rogic and Sinclair still have it. I hope Rogic gets back to full strength ASAP. Would love to see him competing for position with Christie. Quadruple Treble on its way. Hail Hail ????

Our victory was never in doubt because Partick Thistle remained in the locker room. We have dominated. And this is an important thing. #BetfredCup #CELPAR
