Celtic were in fine form on Wednesday night as we dispatched of St. Mirren, but it seems as though many fans had their eyes on what our rivals were doing.
Indeed, Rangers were taking on Kilmarnock in a game that could have big ramifications for us in the context of the season. Heading into the tie, they were 2nd and 3rd in the league respectively, so how they matched up should give us a good indication of who will challenge us heading into the second half of the season
In truth, there wasn’t too much separating the two teams, but Rangers’ inconsistency at the back cost them yet again, with Killie eventually winning the game 2-1.

Following the game, Chris Sutton delivered his verdict on the fixture, noting that Kilmarnock were brilliant, before acknowledging Rangers’ slide down the table.
Unsurprisingly, as with anything Sutton says, this has elicited a lot of reaction from Celtic fans – and most can’t help but laugh at their rivals. Most fans can’t help but reflect back on a clip from fellow BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage, who was laughing at Sutton wheen Rangers managed to beat Celtic back in 2018.
