One of the big stories at Celtic over the last week has been the positive impact that two of the Hoops’ January signings are already making in Brendan Rodgers’ first-team.
West Bromwich Albion forward Oliver Burke and Paris Saint-Germain prospect Timo Weah have both delighted fans with excellent performances in the cup and league, with the duo netting two goals each in two matches.
Burke has been trusted by the manager to start as the team’s central striker in both matches as he looks to prove he has what it takes to play regular week-to-week football.
So far the Scotland U21 international looks the part, combining well with team mates and showing a killer instinct in front of goal that can punish teams.
West Brom fans of course are watching on keenly, wondering if one of their big money signings can eventually make an impact at the Hawthornes after improvement working at Celtic.
While some believe the standard of the league is too poor to judge that, as you’d expect from English fans, others are delighted with his initial impact and believe there is hope for him yet at the Championship side.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his progress this week…

Oli Burke – looks out of his depth vs Mansfield – already tearing up SPL. That league is bins and no one will convince me otherwise.

Delighted for the lad, this loan is what he needed. Sod that he’s playing for the best team in a poor league, if that’s what it takes to get him playing and get his confidence up then I’m all for it. There’s talent in the boy, for sure.

He should of been given a chance at Albion, giving him no more then 10 minutes every now and again is not good.
