We’re hoping that a few new faces will come to Celtic during January, with Brendan Rodgers needing to improve his squad if he wants to stay ahead of Rangers in the title race.
However, all the while, it’s important that we keep the current squad that have played so well this year together, and fortunately, there’s one man that reportedly won’t be leaving the club before the end of the season.
Chris Sutton has reacted to this news online, and it’s fair to say that he’s delighted, having described the news as ‘great’ for Celtic.

Benkovic has been a regular for us this season, and so losing him would have been a big blow. Now, though, it seems like Rodgers can plan for the rest of the season with the 21-year-old in the team.
