Celtic are through to the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League after a dramatic evening of action in Group B.
Losing 2-0 to RB Salzburg at home, the Hoops were well on their way to an exit from the competition before Rosenborg equalised away to RB Leipzig and went on to secure an unlikely point.
It means that Brendan Rodgers’ side progress despite losing the Salzburg fixture 2-1, much to the relief of supporters, the players and one man in particular – Craig Gordon.
The goalkeeper made two quality saves in the first half against the Austrians, but late in the game had a bit of a horror show when his throw was intercepted and turned into the net by the visitors.
Thankfully it did not matter and Celtic fans are now willing to see the funny side of it all after the events that transpired.
