Now Celtic have Cameron Carter-Vickers tied down long term, all the Celtic supporters eyes will now be front and centre on the delivery of Jota.
The Portuguese winger is high on the Celtic fans most wanted list and the confidence they have now over getting that deal done will be huge since the announcement of the American’s permanent move.
But just how close it Jota to Celtic to getting done?
The silence over the permanent transfer is lamentable but this is now how Celtic conduct their business.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, Hugh Keevins seemed fairly confident that the deal will get done and this latest comment does seem to suggest that an announcement may no be too far away.
Speaking just prior to the CCV announcement, Keevins said, “They [the supporters] would have been uneasy over Jota and Cameron Carter Vickers. Jota, well under way that one.”
How far on the way? Does he even know and if he does why not enlighten us all?
The problem I have with this is that the veteran journalist has a reputation, that even he admits is accurate, of getting predictions wrong but I am hoping that this is not one of those times.
With reports this morning that the deal has hit a snag, let’s hope this is one of those times that Keevins gets one right.

Hugh Keevins is confident?
That’s worrying!
I come on these pages to get away from clowns like keevins, imo ccv was the one I wanted – jota not too fussed …£6 mill for a winger who went awol last few months….
Why is it “lamentable” that Celtic do not give updates on every transfer negotiation, successful or unsuccessful?
Most are just made up rumours anyway.
I never said they should on EVERY transfer story
This from a dinosaur who predicted celtic to finish 3rd in league. I would listen tae a goldfish first….
Mr keevins get the slippers on a think
Keevins is a dyed – in the wool Unionist…says it All!
