On loan Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has take a final pot shot at his former gaffer Neil Lennon.

The troubled front man sealed a season long loan move to James McPake’s Dundee, which sees him play out his final year of his Celtic contract.

But as he put pen to paper, he was asked about his former manager, Neil Lennon’s comments about his fitness after he claimed Griffiths returned unfit and overweight.

Griffiths hit back with one last dig about Lennon and insists that this will be the last time he will speak about him, “I don’t really want to keep talking about him because he is going to come back and he is going to have his bit to say.

“I don’t want to go tit for tat. I have said my piece, he has said his.

“I just want to leave it there. If I ever see him in the street, then we will probably have a couple of words to say to each other.

“But I am not going to keep battering him in the press because I don’t want it to be all about what Neil Lennon says to keep him in the loop kind of thing.

“He is out of a job now and he is trying to keep himself relevant.”

Vital Celtic reported last night how it was Griffiths that engineered the move to Dundee as he wanted to play first team football, which was not guaranteed under Ange Postecoglou, but it does look like Celtic fans will not see their much maligned hitman in a Celtic jersey again.
