Charlie Adam. He’s some guy when it comes to spreading some rubbish about Celtic players isn’t he?

And to be fair to him, he even rips it out himself.

Charlie famously predicted that Celtic would be lucky to get £5m for Edouard and about £7m for Dembele on The PLZ Football Show not too long ago and now here he is at it again.

But it’s not transfer stories that Adam is spreading about. It’s rumours and conjecture about Kyogo, Hatate and Maeda.

With Hatate and Maeda called up for the Japan squad, Charlie makes a massive assumption about the two players fitness and then makes a massive stab in the dark about something he heard about Kyogo, “Yeah, I think they boys will be knackered.

“I think they’ve been playing you know, obviously coming from the Japanese league to Scottish football.

“They’ll be desperately needing a break.  I think that both of them are doing okay. Hatate came in and looked magnificent the first few games. He’s definitely dipped.

“I just think it’s because so many games at the minute. He’s probably tired. He’s got to travel the other side of the world.

“You know, to go and play for Japan then back again. So I think he’ll be desperate to get the Japanese players a rest.

“Obviously Kyogo’s still injured. He’s not involved. It will be interesting to see if Kyogo will even play this season.

“We spoke about it three or four weeks ago I’d heard he was out for the season and it’s definitely looking that way.

“Even if even he comes back, he’s not going to be 100% fit.”

Yeah, out for the season. Just because.

And the Japanese players are knackered? Did Adam forget that they had a six week break before they joined Celtic in January or does that not suit the narrative?

Desperate stuff here from Adam.

Must try harder.

Charlie Adam’s skillset can be summed up in one short sentence – he wouldn’t even get a job as an Uber driver!!
