Celtic’s trips into the transfer markets this season have been extremely successful.

It’s not very often you can say that almost every single signing that has been recruited has been a success but on this occasion, I am more than comfortable to do so.

Cameron Carter-Vickers ✅

Carl Starfelt ✅ (contentious in some quarters but still a pass mark for me)

Liel Abada ✅

Joe Hart✅

Josip Juranovic ✅

Kyogo ✅

Daizen Maeda ✅

Reo Hatate ✅

Others like Liam Scales, Yosuke Ideguchi and Liam Shaw will all require time before a sound judgement can be made.

I hear you all cry, what about Jota?

Well of course he is a success and it seems that Celtic’s efforts to land him permanently could be hindered according to Mark Guidi.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, the journalist said, “There’s two ways you can look this.  Because there will only be a handful of people that really know what’s there in black and white.

“It could well be that the the clause that that we believe Celtic have got is absolutely water tight.

“Therefore there’s no panic from Celtic. There’s no need to buy him last month and release a couple million quid of the first installment that you can have in your own account.

“Or the other part might be that what we’ve read and held isn’t accurate and there’s a bit of work needing to be done and the might be a wee bit of panic. We don’t know.

“I always love it when people say, ‘Yeah, he’s earning thirty grand a week and they paid  £6.73 million for him.’

“Nonsense. Unless you actually seen it in black and white. Show us the contract.

“If somebody could see that, then fine. But I’m always sceptical about what we take for granted.

“So I think Celtic are probably in a good position, but maybe it’s not 100% certain that they can get him for six and a half  million. I hope I’m wrong.”

So do we Mark. We all hope you are as wrong as you were about Eddie Howe.

How did that work out?

Its All ways down to the player in the end does he fancy move to a Southampton – well run mid-table club in top 5 league in hope of getting to a Liverpool within couple of years maybe he is happy to sit on bench or just be part of squad earning big money ( all fair points no critisim from me ) Or is he happy being 1st team player every week being fans favorite winning cups playing in europe ( hopefully winning Titles! ) even better for me. But like i always say Us Celts should Always remember the rat maurice johnstone need i say more.

Any player jota and all that come to Celtic know there is a way to England others have made that journey he knows that so he would be a silly boy not to sign for Celtic and get that move to a huge club in a few years..

    Jota will grab this chance

All of the players listed above are excellent signings.
I have no doubts at all about Carl Starfelt, who is an excellent player.
He deserves our support like all the others.

  • Pan says:

Agree with you about Guidi and his take on Howe.
    Guidi is no expert.

  • Billy says:

Mark Guidi, another mouthpiece for the scum, things are so close in the league anything to stir the crap, I think if there is going to be any issues with signing jota ,ange would know before any media outlets,
