Ange Postecoglou has revolutionised the way Celtic do their business.

No doubt.

With free reign to scout the world, the Celtic boss has brought in some quality players to help bolster the first team squad.

Recruitment this season has been the best I can recall in all my years as a Celtic fan.

The football? Well that is something else entirely. Not since the Tommy Burns era have I seen such free flowing attacking football.

But there is one area that Postecoglou has improved that the Celtic fans (and bloggers) love is how the gaffer deals with the Scottish media.

With a straight to the point and no nonsense approach to post and pre match interviews, Postecoglou’s one liners are now legendary amongst the Celtic support.

And Mark Guidi has fired a warning to his journalistic colleagues, as well as an admiration for the Aussie’s style, that should be heeded by all in the SMSM.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, Guidi said, “One thing I think about is, I like the cut of his jib. I didn’t know the guy, I didn’t know if he was going to be any good as a coach of Celtic. Turns out he’s been very good.

“But I like the cut of his jib.

“I’ve had great insight of him from day one because of Craigs [Moore] knowledge of him and working with him.

“I think what he would do or what he does definitely do to journalists, whether it’s radio, newspapers and TV is he challenges journalists.

“I would imagine that you’re thinking twice before you ask him a question because you know if your questions not on it, he’s going to have you.

“In a nice way, but he’s going to have you.

“You’ve got to think beyond the natural, cliched questions.”

And I think the message has gotten through, albeit it has taken almost a full season of timely “mates” for journalists not to antagonise the Celtic boss with silly questions.

Next season should be interesting.
