The recent fan protest at Celtic Park is certainly starting to divide opinion on social media.

As some fans are starting to accuse the protest of adversely affecting the team performance, Josip Juranovic’s comments certainly seem to suggest that that is not the case.

With a range of fan groups from the Green Brigade to The Bhoys to The Celtic Trust, as well as backing from a whole host of fan media sites (including Vital Celtic), the proposed appointment of Bernard Higgins is certainly been the most controversial talking point this season so far.

And all that needs to be done to stop it?

The boardroom just need to engage with the fans.

That’s it.

Engage with your customer base. First rule of any business. But football, as we all know, is more than a business.

It’s a way of life. And this current Celtic board certainly do not seem to get it.

But in an unusual step, a Sky Sports journalist had made an impassioned plea to the board to try and put an end to the protest:

Joseph is a well known fan of the club but to take this step is highly unusual.

When a fan tried to take him to task over the comments, he quickly corrected him in his error:

And if the twitter user used just a modicum of research, he would have known that the players were not disappointed at all.

Engage with their customer? These particular “customers” are an embarrassment to not only the good fans of the club, the club itself, they are an even bigger embarrassment to themselves.
The fact is the club are being far too soft with them. Fact is that they should be removed from the ground and banned until they come to follow the club, or go across the city to back another. There’s a quite new club over Govan way they can join forces with.
This is the work of a few very ignorant petulant children. They have managed to bully several easily led weak fans into joining forces with them.
Let’s get something straight! These guys are maybe season ticket holders, but they do NOT run the club, and judging by their infantile actions, that’s a good thing! Their isn’t a half of a business brain among them!
What they want is “mob-rule”. If the board were dumb enough to fall for that, our club is doomed.
    Get the children out.
