With Celtic still looking for some joy in the managerial hunt, a report has surfaced in Italy that AC Milan could be ready to offer Celtic Diego Laxalt in a two way swap deal involving the Hoops talismanic striker Odsonne Edouard.

Italian national newspaper Corriere Dello Sport have suggested that if Celtic wish to make Laxalt’s loan deal a permanent one, then Milan would be looking to propose an Odsonne Edouard plus cash to seal the deal. Milan value Laxalt at €9m, which could be a major stumbling block if the Hoops decided to take their interest in the full back further.

Do you think Eddie Howe will become the Celtic manager?

YES

NO

Laxalt arived in January this year to a glowing report from the then manager, Neil Lennon, who revealed he had been chasing hte Uruguayan international for a couple of seasons but couldn’t quite manage to get the deal across the line.

Laxalt has had mixed form since arriving from Milan and is still to prove he is worth a permanent deal, but with Celtic resigned to losing their star striker in the summer, would a cash plus player deal suit the Parkhead side as they aim to rebuild the side?

Edouard has had a poor season by his standards but still stands to finish the season as Scotland’s top goal scorer. The French u21 international has showed no desire to extend his stay at Celtic Park and as he enters the final twelve months of his contract, the Hoops will be looking to cash in to maximise the value of their star striker.
