The headline itself is contentious. Whatever way you decide to look at it, Brendan Rodgers is a Celtic legend.

To take the club to only it’s fourth domestic treble and to do it Invincible, is the stuff of legends in my book.

Just like Neil Lennon, for all his faults last season, is still a legend for leading the club to it’s Quadruple Treble.

Both legends in their own right, but also both vilified by some fans for very different reasons.

However, former Celtic midfielder Davie Provan has spoken of the kind of football he has witnessed so far under Ange Postecoglou and has likened it to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic during the Invincibles season.

Speaking on Go Radio, Provan said, “I think it’s similar. It’s similar. Brendan was always for the high press.

“I think you could argue that Postecoglou wants the ball forward quicker. And I don’t mean back to front.

“I mean through the opposition midfield quicker.

“Brendan’s team I think went sideways too often, although they couldn’t be mesmerising on their day.

“But Postecoglou’s brand of football has been terrific so far.”

I think Postecoglou’s football is better than Rodgers’ side so far. Yes, it is early days and yes Rodgers teams played some exciting stuff, but I have never seen a Celtic team be so relentless in going after their opponents.

When was the last time Celtic consistently had over twenty shots on target on every home game?

When was the last time the possession stats where stratospheric?

A friend of mine summed if up brilliantly over the weekend: Possession Celtic 147%. Dundee -47%
