As Celtic announced the signing of Yuki Kobayashi yesterday, the fans were all delighted that Ange Postecoglou has already started to strengthen the squad ahead of the January transfer window.
Kobayashi now ends the hunt for that elusive left-sided defender that Postecoglou has been seeking ever since he came into the job.
The Japanese defender will help to bring balance to the centre of defence and now all we need to worry about is which defender will the Celtic boss partner up with Cameron Carter-Vickers?
Starfelt or Kobayashi?
Whilst we ponder that, Yuki Kobayashi tweeted out a message this morning that he has been receiving ‘insane’ messages welcoming him to the club.
But it’s not the right Kobayashi:

Many of us will recognise that there were actually two Yuki Kobayashi’s at Vissel Kobe.
One is a 30-year-old midfielder and the other is, obviously, the 22-year-old defender that we have just signed.
The confusion was such that, prior to the move, even on this site, I was accused of getting my facts wrong (rather aggressively) by Celtic fans when the rumour first broke that we were interested in Kobayashi.
I’m still waiting on that apology! You know who you are!!
Hopefully, now, this will help stop the confusion and the congratulations and adulation can now be directed to out new bhoy from the fans.
