Jim White hilariously berated on live radio on Celtic manager recommendation

|

He’s a man Celtic fans love to hate. His face when the old Rangers when into liquidation (or was it administration?) was an absolute picture and Celtic fans will never let him forget it.

He is also detested for reasons other than football which we will not go into on this site but lets just say he is not well liked by the Parkhead faithful.

White got a roasting on his live Talksport show by a Spurs fan when he mentioned that Burnley boss, Shaun Dyche, would be an ideal manager for the London club.

A Tottenham fan, Phil,  took umbrage at that notion and called the show to tell White exactly how he felt, “Just a quick one, Jim, are you on the wind-up about Sean Dyche? If you rate him that much why haven’t you put his name forward for the Celtic job? The team you follow, the team that you like. Why is he good enough for Tottenham but not Celtic?”

Would you take Shaun Dyche as Celtic manager?

YES

NO

If only poor Phil new the truth and to be honest I am surprised Jim never fell off his seat. But to be fair to the man, he replied and actually RECOMMENDED that Dyche would be an excellent manager for the Hoops,  “I’ll do that now, Phil. I think Sean Dyche would be great at Celtic. I think he would be brilliant at Celtic, he would do a great job, but why would Sean want to go up there, and leave the Premier League?

“For sure, I think it would be a great move. I think Sean going to Celtic would be a good move for him and for Celtic.”

It was a moment of radio beauty and it also shows you the complete lack of knowledge by our friends down south on the Scottish game if they think White is one of Glasgow’s Green and White. Or maybe that’s why the caller did?
