The signings of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi are widely expected to be completed early in the January transfer window.

Celtic boss, Ange Postecoglou has already admitted that he expects to get his signings completed as soon as possible and with the speculation already rife that the Hoops have already had an £850,000 bid accepted for Ideguchi, Postecoglou really does seem to have his finger on the pulse.

No one would have expected the new signings to arrive in time for the Glasgow Derby, but according to journalist, Mark Hendry of Football Scotland, that is exactly what the plan is.

Hendry dropped the news in his article for the online site when he said, “Signing the trio is top priority for Ange Postecoglou who has made no secret about his desire to strengthen in the New Year.

“And Football Scotland understands they are likely to be announced early in the window.

“The club are aiming to have the deals over the line but it’s unlikely any of the new stars will be available to play a part in the game.

“Football Scotland also understands that, outside of a potential permanent bid for Jota, the three Japanese players will be the end of Celtic’s January business.”

So whilst the quick acquisition of the players will be welcomed, the claim that there will be no new incomings after that will disappoint the Celtic fans as they would have hoped for at least another two signings to come in as the team make the push for the title.
