The rebuild. It seems so long ago since we uttered those words on this site it’s really hard to believe that it was actually a ‘thing’.
A league and cup double in a transition period where no one gave the team a hope of coming close to any kind of domestic silverware is simply stunning and it leaves Celtic fans asking one question.
If Ange can do this in one season, what can he do next year? A treble? European glory?
Now, I’m not saying Ange will win a European trophy. All I’m saying is you never know where he can take us.
But to do that, we need reinforcements. And in several key areas.
Kieran Devlin dropped this in The Athletic and he seems to hint at some insider knowledge when it comes to the transfer shopping list, “I understand left-back, ball-playing centre-back, and a hard-pressing right-winger are the three priority positions this summer, but I really doubt they’ll be the only areas where he brings players in.”
But when asked if he thinks that means Jota has decided to look elsewhere, Devlin replied, “Don’t believe it’s contingent on Jota. Think it’s Postecoglou targeting the “two good players in each position” ideal. So LW: Maeda/Jota, ST: Furuhashi, Giakoumakis, RW: New signing, Abada.”
Jota was in his element last night enjoying the celebrations at Tannadice.
