Accepted with all the grace and humility that managers of football clubs should.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst sent Celtic a classy message on this mornings Talksport as he congratulated Ange Postecoglou on his brilliant title win.

Even after being asked if he felt he needed to win the Europa League to have the Glasgow bragging rites, Van Bronckhorst replied, “It was a great challenge for the league title this year and, in the end, we came up short.

“That’s football. We give credit to Celtic and to Ange – he’s done a tremendous job in his first season.

“But I don’t think we have to win the Europa League just to overshadow Celtic’s achievement.

“They have a great achievement in the league and we’ll push hard for our club to be successful in Europe.

“That’s the only thing we have to be focussed on: giving success to our clubs.”

Class response that shows the great respect between the Rangers manager and Ange Postecoglou.

The two seem to have formed a great bond of mutual respect between them which is a breath of fresh air within our game.
