Quoted by the Scottish Sun, Lorenzo Amuroso has warned Lazio that they have to meet Celtic full on if they are to get a result at Celtic Park on Thursday.
The Hoops have started this season well and will be looking to stretch out a lead in the Scottish Premiership after getting back on level terms with Rangers at the weekend.
In Europe, meanwhile, it’s getting into the knockout stages that is the aim and two big results against Lazio this week and in a couple of weeks from now would help provide us a pathway out of the group.
Lazio are a good side, of course, but Amuroso has warned them that if they are not motivated we will beat them.
He said:
“Technically, Lazio are superior, but they cannot think they have an easy task.
“Celtic Park is a special environment, a lot of character and mentality is needed. If the motivation drops, they are better off staying in Rome.”
It will be tough, they are a very decent side, but we are too and we need to believe in what we’ve done so far this season.
