Moi pre match conference tells of “Determination to turn things around”

Moi Elyounoussi chaired the Europa League pre match conference where he told of the squad who are “determined to turn things around”. In a question referencing the poor domestic and European form, Moi was clear that the squad are very much pulling together’

We have to keep pushing each other and that’s what we try to do on the pitch, and at training.

We demand more from each other. Lille are a strong team but we have nothing to lose.

We’ll go out, enjoy ourselves and play with freedom. It’s always nice to score goals but in the end, you want to win games. It’s a team sport. I play to win, and for the three points.

My position requires to score goals and assists, which I’m happy to do but we want to win

Celtic are looking to go out and atone for the extremely poor form that has seen the club tagged with the worst defensive record in European competitions.  Going forward, Celtic look dangerous and comfortable in the first twenty minutes of the last two games.  Blistering starts against Lille and AC Milan saw the team go 2-0 in the early stages of the match but fail to hang on as defensive frailties are cruelly exposed by the quality of the teams in Europe.

Celtic face Lille tomorrow night in the last fixture of a disastrous Europa League campaign.  All that’s left to fight for is pride, and the hope that a victory will help take some pressure off their gaffer for at least a few more days.
