Rangers failure to accept Celtic as deserved Scottish Premiership champions has once again reared it’s ugly head after an article appeared in the Daily Record from the paper’s Ibrox blogger.

The story is based on Italian giants, Juventus, and their declaration that if Serie A was unable to be completed, they would not accept the title or count it in their history books as a success.

Many observers feel that Celtic’s history making side wouldn’t have faced as much opposition from the other side of the city if they weren’t so close to becoming the first side to win 10 successive titles.

True or false, Hearts scored first in last season's Scottish Cup final?

In every argument it is always worth considering the other side of the coin and on this occasion, there is an obvious hypocrisy from those of a blue persuasion, if it was they who were 13 points in front you can guarantee that “55” would be celebrated and Steven Gerrard would be lauded as the next Pep Guardiola.

Hoops fans responded to the article with some pointing out the minor detail that Juve are just a point in front of their nearest competitors whilst others were there purely to celebrate and point out the similarities with Rangers own “history”.
