Celtic’s foray into the transfer market in the summer and this winter has been nothing short of remarkable.

From the summer, the captures of Kyogo Furuhashi and Cameron Carter Vickers were seen as some sort of masterstrokes and then he followed that up with the signings of Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi, Daizen Maeda and Matt O’Riley.

All six of these players have played an excellent role in Celtic’s early success this season and I haven’t even mentioned Joe Hart, Josip Juranovic and (to Davie Provan and BBC Sportsound’s displeasure), Carl Starfelt.

Ange certainly knows how to spot a player and it seems that could have unwittingly uncovered another gem.

Young Joey Dawson arrived last summer from Scunthorpe after signing a three year deal and it seems he could be destined for a huge future at Celtic.

Popular site, Football Fancast, has suggested that the youngster could be of the same mould as former Celtic striker John Hartson.

Dawson became the youngest player in Scunthorpe’s represent the first team at just 16 years and 75 days and as highly rated at The Irons.

He scored 16 goals for their youth side and that caught the eye of the Celtic scouts and already this season he has notched nine goals in Celtic’s B team.

At just 18 years old, Dawson looks destined to follow in his uncles footsteps [Michael Dawson] and play football at the highest level.

And there can be no higher praise than being compared to big John Hartson who was prolific for Celtic scoring 88 goals in 146 appearances.
