Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has recently confirmed that midfielder Ryan Christie is closing in on a return to first-team action.
The 23-year-old Scottish international has been in good form for Celtic so far in the campaign of 2018/19 and he already has 21 appearances to his name this year across all competitions and he’s contributed seven goals for us.
He last featured in the Europa League clash against RB Salzburg last week but he was substituted just ahead of the hour mark in the game and missed out against Hibernian.
???? BR: “Ryan Christie is back running on the field and is pushing himself to getting back playing. It’s great news for us.” #CELMOT

Having made the above comment following the weekend’s defeat, it was music to the ears of those fans who took the time to respond to the reveal on social media, and plenty identified him as a massive miss for us in the 2-0 defeat.
Maybe the ball will get played forward instead of backwards now

Absolutely brilliant news missed him yesterday big time something I though I wouldn’t be saying about him just shows how much he’s improved as a player these last couple of months

You would think Wednesday evening’s clash against Motherwell may come too quickly for the lad, but it’ll be all eyes to the starting line up and the substitutes bench.
