As news broke earlier in the week that Celtic could face stiff competition from the English Premier League for the signature of Cameron Carter Vickers, an interesting article popped up on my timeline that could give the Hoops fans a boost and rule one club out of the running.

Hammers News, a West Ham fan site, wrote an opinion piece on the club and how the big American won’t be a target for the London club, “There’s absolutely no chance Tottenham will sell 24-year-old to West Ham.

“First and foremost, Spurs and the Hammers rarely do business with each other.

“A player hasn’t been transferred from one club to the other since Scott Parker left West Ham for Tottenham back in 2011.

“There would be absolutely no need for them to do it and with so many other clubs in the race for the 24-year-old’s signature, Moyes had better start looking elsewhere.”

Although transfer business between all the London clubs isn’t entirely off the table as we have seen before between Arsenal and Tottenham, it seems that there is deep rooted rivalry between Spurs and West Ham that will prevent a sale of any player.

That’s over eleven years since the clubs did any form of transfer business.

This is great news as a move to The Hammers could have been appealing to Carter-Vickers seeing as they are high flying in the EPL under Moyes right now.
