Despite a thumping win away in UEFA Champions League qualifying last night, Celtic fans did not see perfection in Armenia, with many taking to Twitter to share their disappointment in the progress of defender Jack Hendry.
Signing from Dundee in January, Hendry has made 12 appearances for the Hoops so far, but has failed to win over a number of supporters in the early stages of his career at Celtic Park.
Helping his side to a clean sheet on Tuesday night, the young Scotland international didn’t have a terrible game, but did make one glaring mistake in the early stages of the second half that could have easily resulted in an equaliser for Alashkert.
The defensive line remains an area of big concern for fans, who worry about the side’s ability to go up against more talented attacking line-ups as the club move deeper into qualification this summer.
Some are now calling on Hendry to be loaned out, or simply dropped, losing faith in him altogether.
While that seems drastic, the player does need to show significant improvement over the next few months.
These supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his situation during and after Celtic’s 3-0 win…

Jack Hendry needs to go out on loan, whenever he’s played he’s looked below average

I don't think I'll ever trust Jack Hendry

Jack Hendry isn't anywhere near ready for the Celtic first xi. Makes far too many basic and complacent errors.
