Watching Celtic this season has been a bit of a rollercoaster.

From the highs of watching consecutive 6-0 drubbings of St Mirren and Dundee at the beginning to the absolute lows of losing and drawing to Livingston.

But the football has consistently gotten better with each passing week.

With possession stats almost always 70%+ to the usual 20+ attempts on goal, the only lacking quality in Celtic’s game has been that killer instinct.

Being on top and putting teams to bed.

But that seems to have been addressed as Celtic sit proudly at the top of the league after back to back 3-0 and 4-0 wins in the league.

But the most impressive thing about those victories has been the style of play.

Relentless, attacking football. It’s what Ange Postecoglou has been talking about all season and now that we start to see some strength in depth in the squad, yesterdays performance against Motherwell showed that with all our playing personnel back, the team will continue that attacking style for the full ninety minutes.

Australian based journalist Petar Petrov was showing appreciation for the type of football he has been watching when he tweeted after the 4-0 victory over Motherwell, Go and watch Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic, they are currently one of the most entertaining sides in European football!

“You can thank me later. Thumbs up

He then followed that up with, “Brilliant coach and man-manager! This Celtic team is going straight to the top!

“And it should be taken under consideration that the team was in major crisis when Ange took over.

“This is basically a new squad which has to settle while playing a game every three days, which means just 2-3 real training sessions a week.”

And after watching them all season, with the exception of just a couple of results, this analysis is bang on.

With only Kyogo and David Turnbull to return from injury, the rest of the seasons performances can only get better.
