Celtic will be looking to bounce back from their disappointment in Europe with a win over Motherwell this Sunday afternoon.
The Bhoys return to Paradise after bowing out of Europe at the hands of Valencia last night with a 3-0 aggregate win being chalked up by the Spanish side.
It was an okay at best performance, then, but John Hartson felt as though Oliver Burke could have done more.
Via BT Sport, he said:
“He just ran out of ideas at times, he was positive in terms of his running but when he got in behind he almost did the hard thing and ran out of ideas.”
And, if Burke wants to stay at this club past this season, he needs to heed these words.
Of course, he cannot help where he is played by the manager and I do think he was out of position as he is better out wide rather than down the middle.
If you have to play in the centre, though, you still need to produce for a club like ours and that is what his challenge will be next time he goes there.
Even so, so far I think he’s going the right way about being kept, he just needs to keep at that level rather than let this bother him too much.
