Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Charly Musonda has left the club after a largely unsuccessful period at Paradise.
The Hoops signed the kid from Chelsea on loan with a view to him being our next exciting prospect that develops over a long period with the team.
Indeed, we’ve seen success with the likes of Patrick Roberts and so it was the right idea to try it again, though it appears as if it’s not going to work here.
The boss revealed via the club’s official Twitter:
The manager has also confirmed that Charly Musonda has returned permanently to parent club @ChelseaFC: “He was a joy to work with, a really good boy, wanted to learn and he’s now at an age where he needs to play week in, week out, and, unfortunately, I couldn’t promise him that.” pic.twitter.com/iUnWUsM7go

The Verdict
It’s a shame we couldn’t see more of him because he’s got a decent reputation but I’m not overly fussed.
He didn’t really make an impact and though he might have done long term, I’m sure we’ll end up getting better options that can have an impact straightaway this summer.
