Scott Brown. Captain. Leader. Legend. Ten Scottish Premierships. Six Scottish Cups and seven League Cups. The number 8 shirt is as synonymous with the Captain as his shaved head.

We all knew this day would come. We all thought this day was there pre Brendan Rodgers/post Ronny Delia,  until the Northern Irishman built his side around the dynamic midfielder and gave him a new lease of life.

Under Broony, Celtic were relentless. Leading Celtic to another nine league titles in a row for the second time in their history and an unprecedented Quadruple Treble.

Will Celtic regret letting Scott Brown go?

YES

NO

NO

Scott Brown is the best Celtic captain since Billy McNeill. No question. No arguments. He simply is. His ability to motivate his team and drag them over the line when it counts was simply outstanding and who can forget that day at Aberdeen were three (or was it four?) players tried to take him out and Broony, in his usual bullish fashion, jumped straight to his feet and played the crowd.

But that was just him. A showman but also a consummate professional.  Ex players raved about how he would make new signings welcome to the club and fill them in on the history of Celtic and the demands of playing for the biggest club in Scotland.

On various social media feeds, I have read many comments from Celtic fans wishing our Captain all the best for the future but I would like to canvas the fans. Quite simply, is it a mistake by Celtic to let Brown go at such a crucial time? Or is Brown right to go along with Lennon and Lawwell? You can vote here and have your say.

Good luck Captain. Thank you for everything. Hail Hail.
