Celtic are being urged to go and get Robbie Brady by journalist Matthew Fulton.

Speaking on the Record Celtic podcast, Fulton says it’s a no brainer to sign the 57 capped Republic of Ireland star even though he has been without a club since the summer.

Brady left Burnley after his contract expired in June of this year but has yet to find a club as yet.

Vital Celtic reported just two days ago that Brady was being heavily linked to Middlesbrough, but boss Neil Warnock ruled himself out of the running as it seems he wasn’t too keen on signing a player that is not match fit, “I didn’t see us linked with him, if I’m honest.

If Celtic fail to win the title this season. Who is to blame?

“But you’ve got to be so careful because players like that won’t have been involved in any training with a squad and they’ll be behind. They’ll be training on their own.

“It’s all right looking, but unless the right one comes along, we’ll have to just muck on with what we’ve got.”

But Fulton disagrees and says Celtic must go and get him, If Celtic can go and get him, it looks like a no-brainer.

“If they can go and get him, I wouldn’t see why they wouldn’t.

“He’s an available player in a role they need to fill.

“My only thought is that he might be holding out for something. Is he 29? He’s in his peak.

“So if they can go and get him, yeah, but it might be an expensive gamble because unfortunately, the going rate now for a pretty bog-standard full-back in England at that level is probably about £40k a week.”
