Celtic fans love it when a player breaks through from the youth ranks and become a star in the first team.

There is nothing better than watching a home grown talent blossom from the youth squad and don the Hoops.

We have seen it so often this year with Adam Montgomery and Stephen Welsh this season and although he has been a late developer, Anthony Ralston fits into that mix as well.

But for one young Celtic star it looks like his Paradise dream may be over.

Young Kerr McInroy is currently on loan at Airdrie this season and does have an option to extend his contract at the Hoops if he wishes, but speaking to The Daily Record, McInroy is being realistic to himself and admits that as the chance to break into the first team diminishes, it is time now to move on, “It’s a difficult one for myself,

“I want to play as many games as I can and show people what I can do. I want to grab a few goals.

“It’s a confusing situation for me. My head has been all over the place trying to work things out. So for now, it’s just a case of getting games.

If Celtic fail to win the title this season. Who is to blame?

“I have an option of another year at Celtic but this will probably be my last year at Celtic. So I need to get as many games as I can, wherever that may be.

“I need to get my name back out there and getting appearances and goals under my belt should hopefully show people what I can do.”

“So when Airdrie called, I moved straight for it.

“Last season was full of ups and downs.

“I was trying to impress Celtic last season. Now I’m trying to impress for myself.”

You have to admire the 21 year olds determination to succeed and bravery for having the guts to move on when he could take the option to stay at Celtic.

I genuinely hope he moves on and flourishes wherever he may land.
