“Shocking”, “Another honest mistake”, “Ingrained bias” – Supporters rage at latest SFA Celtic announcement

Another weekend, another big Glasgow Derby and not just any derby.

One that will eventually settle the SPFL title, one way or another.

As Ange Postecoglou continues to defy his critics and dominate Scottish football, the cry from our rivals is not quite no surrender yet, but it will be come 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

I fully expect Celtic to take the three points. Put them to bed and ultimately deliver our tenth title in eleven years.

But, of course, that all depends if everything goes to plan.

And therein lies the problem.

The latest SFA announcement regarding Sunday’s match could well scupper those plans.

John Beaton, who has one of the worst kept secrets in Scottish football is set to take charge of the Glasgow Derby on Sunday and for obvious reasons, the Celtic support are not happy.

The deep distrust of referee’s in Scotland runs deep and it runs no deeper than that of the Celtic fans for this particular referee.

Pictured in a well established public house of our rivals after his performance in a previous Glasgow Derby, how Beaton is allowed to take charge of such an important match is quite bewildering.

Martin Kelly simply put: “Penalty Sevco”

Thomas Hopkins said: “Cheaton Beaton. Was a Fan of the Dead Rangers F.C. Drinks in a Sevco Pub, The Crown Bar in Bellshill. I doubt if he goes to Mass on a Sunday. Has a History of favouring teams that are based at IOUbrokes.”

Martin McArthur put: “Shocking choice and clearly shows the ingrained bias against us in the SFA but no comments from the Celtic board.”

Sinead O’Duigaenain was more positive: “We just have to rise above it, get on with the job, and hump the manky mob without breaking any rules.

“Show them all we’re better than the cheats, and don’t need favours from biased and cheating referees!!!
