Wednesday evening’s Premiership tie between Celtic and Motherwell at Parkhead saw manager Brendan Rodgers’ side return to the top of the Scottish table with a 3-0 victory courtesy of goals from Anthony Ralston, Scott Sinclair and youngster Mikey Johnston.
With plenty of positives to come from the game as we got back to winning way, a clear downside was the injury to our sole striker Odsonne Edouard.
The game did also have a different element to it, long-serving 33-year-old midfielder Scott Brown was making his 500 club appearance following his arrival from Hibernian for a reported £4.4million back in the summer of 2007.
He reached the landmark milestone in his 26th appearance of the 2018/19 campaign and undoubtedly, taking victory on the night made it all the more special for him.
500 games for this amazing club means so much and thanks for this last night 🍀🍀🍀 pic.twitter.com/A9rRFQsrKD
