Celtic have many players on loan at various clubs over Europe.

With Ange Postecoglou building his own squad, very successfully I might add, signings from managers past needed to be moved on in order to get them some much needed game time.

One such player was Conor Hazard.

Celtic’s penalty hero in the Scottish Cup final that sealed the Quadruple Treble was surplus to requirements this season and with Joe Hart and Scott Bain preferred ahead of him at the time, the youngster knew it was time to move on in order to get some first team action.

A loan move to HJK Helsinki was arranged and it’s fair to say that the Northern Irish international was a hit at the club.

Helsinki released a statement on their website and said of Hazard, “After a fantastic year on loan, Conor Hazard has returned to the Celtic organisation as agreed and continues to pursue new dreams. Thank you, Conor!”

Young Hazard helped the club win the Finnish championship making 39 appearances overall for the club [Transfermarkt].

It remains to be seen if Hazard has a future at Celtic with Ben Siegrist and Scott Bain ahead of him in the pecking order and at 24 years old, he may have found the taste of first team football too good to return to sitting on a bench again.

Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
