Celtic are filled with a litany of international footballers.

From Cameron Carter-Vickers, to Reo Hatate to Liel Abada and Kyogo, the whole team has a wealth of international experience.

There are a couple of players that do not. The likes of Jota, who has numerous caps from u15 to u21 level, is still waiting for his full international debut.

But another player in the squad is still waiting on that elusive first cap and that is Moritz Jenz.

The big defender joined Celtic in the summer and has revealed that he qualifies to play for two countries due to his dual nationality.

He is eligible to play for Nigeria due to his grandparent but Jenz has his sights set higher.

As reported by The Street Journal, Jenz said, “I qualify for Germany and Nigeria but I would prefer Germany as that is where I grew up.

“It’s a great country to play for and hopefully I can make a couple of appearances, then a couple more, then who knows, perhaps play in a World Cup or Euro’s.

“But I need to do my best for my club first.

“That’s the most important thing and after that we can talk about the national team.”

The problem for Jenz is that although he is a very good footballer, he hasn’t represented his country at any level.

Not that it should make much difference because if you are good enough then you should play but is Jenz at the level where he has the opportunity to break in to the German side?

When you look at the quality of Matthias Ginter, Antonio Rudiger and Thilo Kehrer, Jenz has an incredible job on his hands displacing one of those.

It’s the dreaded international break. So take away the boredom and try our *BRAND NEW* quiz. Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
