Do you ever wonder just how far we are ahead of the Rangers? I mean, in real terms and not just with our green-tinted specs on.
Because if we are all honest with ourselves, as Celtic fans we believe that we are miles in front of them.
And when you take into account just how far we have come under Ange Postecoglou and how easy it is to get carried away with the way we are playing it is easy to get a bit carried away.
Well, get carried away no longer because these stats produced by well known Celtic account Lint, highlight just how far ahead we are of them:
Rangers best start to the season after 25 games (since 3pts for a win):
2020-21 = 69*
2002-03 = 66
1999-00 = 62
2004-05 = 62
2007-08 = 62
2022-23 = 61(Covid season with no crowds*)
Problem they face is that the best ever 25 games they’ve had would still not be good enough. pic.twitter.com/bvW1mSrlUJ

Even at their very best, even with their best-ever season during COVID, it still wouldn’t be enough to catch us.
So if you ever have any doubts about how far we are ahead of them, don’t.
We are miles ahead and the gap is just going to get even bigger when the summer hits and their out of contract stars leave and Ange continues to add bodies to his squad.
This is the sort of meaningless, puff piece stat that you expect from Sevconians. It’s as meaningful as Slippy saying that if games were 80 minutes…We’re 10 wins from the title as things stand now.
Nah, you’re right. Facts don’t make interesting stories
