Who would have thought that Celtic would have been mentioned in the resignation letter of a Director of  Juventus?

The football world was rocked last night when news emerged that every member of the Juve board had stepped down in a series of mass resignations.

Andrea Agnelli who was appointed the Juventus Chairman back in 2010, released a statement explaining why he had resigned from the club.

You can read the whole statement in the link below but the Italian name-checked Celtic as one of the clubs that he deemed as ‘impossible’ to beat if the club were not united as a whole.

As reported by La Gazzetta, Agnelli said, “Each of us can remember the moment before entering the field: you leave the locker room, you turn right, you go down about twenty steps with a gate in the middle, you climb another ten steps and you are there: “el miedo esce’nico” and at this moment, when you know that you have the whole team with you.

“The impossible becomes achievable. Bernabeu, Old Trafford, Allianz Arena, Westfallen Stadium, San Siro, Georgios Karaiskaks, Celtic Park, Camp Nou: everywhere we went when the team was compact, we feared no one.”

Celtic have faced The Old Lady on numerous occasions down the years and I would assume that Agnelli was referring to the night in 2013 when Juventus visited Glasgow and humbled us 3-0 in the Champions League.

Celtic have faced Juventus on six occasions in Europe, winning two and losing four [UEFA.com]. The most memorable fixture (from a Celtic point of view) was that classic 4-3 victory at Celtic Park in the Champions League in 2001.

Who are Celtic’s most capped players from these countries?
