With Ange Postecoglou starting to make his mark on Celtic and putting together the semblance of a first team, Celtic supporters are clearly unhappy about the state of affairs in the boardroom.

With a protest against the board organised at the club on Sunday at 1pm, the fans are looking for CLEAR change at the top and are looking to make their voices heard ahead of the home league match against Dundee.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show, former Celtic midfielder Davie Provan took a stinging swipe at former CEO Peter Lawwell and says the fans are correct to take the action they have.

When speaking about the amount of money the supporters have pumped into the club, Provan cited that as reason enough to protest against the board, “That’s why I have no problem with the protest that’s going to take place there on Sunday.

“I think the supporters should make their voices, very clear. It remains to be seen whether the board take anything on board or whether they will take any notice.

“Because there is an arrogance and a smugness, about the Celtic board, and Celtic themselves in their current position because of complacency.

“And dare I say, directors who might be clever men but don’t understand how a dressing works or how actually football works.

“Peter Lawwell, for me, has far too much say in football matters. From the appointment of Ronny Delia to the appointment of Neil Lennon. And as long as Peter Lawwell is there I have my worries for the club.”

A clear and damning indictment against Lawwell by Provan and no doubt Sunday will be interesting to see what kind of mood the fans will bring to the ground. One thing is for sure though, the fans have had enough and we all remember what happened the last time the fans stood against a Celtic board………
